Viktor and Rolf have been up there as one of my favourite design houses for a long time now.
I saw their exhibition at the Barbican in London last year I think and I was blown away. It was mesmerizing. I love how there is a theme to every collection and the work that goes into every piece. Never fails to impress me. Cannot explain how much I adore their work.

Because I seem to have lost it!

Things have been pretty bad of late. I have no money. I can't find a job.
I feel useless to society.

I feel like a lot of people are feeling my pain at the moment. Misery loves company eh?

Hoping to be moving to London asap, as soon as I find a job and a house. It's not proving easy.

Once my life starts this new chapter, I'm going to be so damn productive. You know, do all those things you want but never get round to it.

1. improve my god damn Spanish and French.
2. go the gym and not be flabby.
3. make more scarves and sell them
4. blog more!
5. be a generally better person.

Until I find a job and get re-integrated back into society, I will just dream and be patient.

Haven't updated in a while. It's been a really awful time of late and I really haven't felt like blogging was appropriate or necessary.

Life is kinda getting back to normal now. Desperate to move to London, looking for rooms and applying for jobs EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It's so depressing.

That is probably one of the worst pictures I have seen in a long time. It's like a car crash, you don't want to look at it but you can't help it. I feel a bit sorry for the poor little mouse really. I wonder if he was dead before all the malt-loaf got poured on him or if he was just sitting there in the tin and got excited when all this yummy mixture starts to pour on him, only to realise there was no way of eating himself out of this one. Suffocation by malt-loaf, what a way to go. I'm sure Soreen can make some kind of marketing pitch out of this.

I apologise prefusely for the lack of posts. I blame a combination of a few things. Mainly moving to New York a couple of months ago, having the time of my life and not feeling the urge to post anymore because being a tourist or getting trashed in dive bars in Williamsburg seemed a lot more fun . Anyway I am alive and well I'm sure you'll be pleased to know and racked with guilt over not maintaining my blog. My posts may become more frequent now but I'm not sure.

Anyway, current obsession, baggy white, grey and black t-shirts. I'm a plain black and white and GREY kinda girl.

I've been awful at posting of late. I'm sorry! I really want to get back into the swing of things and posting more often but it's just finding time and the inspiration at the moment. Again, still feeling out of touch with everything.

Our plans re New York are coming along and we might be buying our flights this week. One month left in the UK is scariness!!! I'm currently cleaning like a loon, trying to sort out my life (aka. my room).

Yesterday I got told I was being made redundant, not that I didn't see it coming, credit crunch and all that shizz. Now I really need to get my ass in gear and sort out NYC. I am still feeling out of touch. I hope to resume normal service soon. I'm praying for some spare time to catch up on normality to come around this week. My bloglovin tells me have 249 posts to read, that number itself makes me anxious. I need time with some fashion magazines.

This week and weekend have been lovely and hectic. Me and the boyf went to London and did some shopping, no xmas presents I might add though. Went to see the amazing Vivian Girls at the Macbeth. Check them out, all girl trio who ooze coolness. They dress and play like they are exuding no effort and it works perfectly. http://www.myspace.com/viviangirlsnyc
They have some pretty questionable tattoos though, which caused me and my boyfriend to chat at length about friends bad tattoos and how we really both really want to get something but don't want to end up being included in peoples conversations about friends bad tattoos.

Bumped into friends in Shoreditch, drank too much, slept in hottest hotel room ever = hangover. Did some shopping in Brick Lane, felt too awful to search in Beyond Retro, very disappointed in myself. Picked up a gorgeous nautical vintage navy blazer. Boyf got a lovely checked shirt and a vintage t-shirt with dolphins wearing sunglasses on it, you have no idea how pleased with himself he is with this purchase.

Spent way too much money in Urban Outfitters, me and boyf bought the same pair of acid wash jeans in the sale, same size and everything, I told him we should just buy one pair and share but he wasn't having it. I think it's thrifty, he thinks it's freaky sharing clothes, although he often wears my jeans and big checked shirts and visa versa. We are slowly morphing into each other and it's so funny, there's nothing we can do about it.

It's so nice to be back although I had such a nice time in Poland. The people were lovely, it wasn't even that cold and it's really cheap there!

So a lot of stuff has been happening recently. I've been so busy with work and I'm going to Poland and it's Xmas coming and it's all so hectic!! For some crazy reason me and the boyf thought it would be a good idea to try and go in live in New York and get internships for a while next year. You know, as you do. Now it turns out that it might actually happen and soon. The prospect of being able to help out at fashion week has swayed me immensely. I need help, my brain hurts.

- where are we going to live?
- how are we going to afford this?
- are allowed to even go and do internships in the US?
- what am I going to do with all my stuff?
- how am I going to get this sorted by mid January?
- am I doing the right thing?

If anyone can answer any of these questions for me I'd be forever indebted to you. I need advice/contacts/anything you can give me! Bloggers please help a fellow blogger in need. If you know anyone/anything that could help us we'd be so happy.

I'm going to Poland for work next week. I am both excited and under prepared. It's snowing there at the moment apparently. I can't even begin to start to think what I need to take with me. I think I will take my usual tactic and leave it till the last minute. It's only three days, I can't need to take that much, right?? Some photo's above of Polish street style. I love Mia Farrow. Watch Rosemary's Baby, the clothes in the film are enchanting and the film itself haunting. Her hair in the top 2 pictures is kinda like mine. Or how I would like it to be anyway.

So I got tagged by Sarah from the studio darling to list 6 things that make me happy. I'm not feeling too happy at the moment as I'm in bed with a cold. The thing that would make me the happiest at this moment would to not have a sore red nose but that ain't happening fast. Here goes:

1. London...........................................................

Our great nations capital. Been there a million times but still I get excited when I see Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Sad I know but I love being a tourist when I go there. There are so many amazing galleries and museums and so many beautiful buildings. It just excites me so much being there. Me and my friend had some time to kill recently before getting the train and so we went to see the Queen.

If you've never been to London, do do do go if you get the chance. Take a walk down Brick Lane and look in all the vintage shops, stroll along embankment and visit the Tate Modern. Alternatively just watch Notting Hill or Love Actually. I'm a sucker for Hugh Grant. He's so terribly English.

2. Dreaming of what I'd do if I won the lottery.
It would involve a lot of Chanel, a lot of living in New York and a lot of travelling. Ahhhh it's one of my favourite past times.

3. Trashy TV.
I just love having nothing to do and just watching The Hills or Laguna Beach or the Ashlee Simpson show or reality TV shows, you know the one's where the girls have to compete to get the guy. I'm intelligent young lady but there is something very self indulgent and addictive about this trash.

4. David Bowie/Joy Division/Talking Heads/Sonic Youth
Sitting in bed, cleaning the bathroom, organising my underwear drawer all listening to the above. What a dream.

5. Fashion Magazines
Ah the excitement when Elle comes out is an excitement I love. My Elle collection is something I'm very proud. Ever since I was little I've loved magazines, I used to try and recreate the hair styles in Sugar magazine and hide from my mum it had articles about sex or boys in it. Today it's a little different but I don't think I could go without buying Elle and Vogue each month. It's my guilty pleasure and I don't think it's a bad one at all.

6. Science
It excites me and blows me away every time I think about it. Being a very inquisitive little girl when I was young I was always interested in how things work and my "why why why why why" always irritated my mother immensely. I studied Science at University and feel so out of touch and un-intelligent at the moment. Must really read New Scientist soon and get excited about what's going on again. Is there room for both Vogue and NS in my life? It's worth a try.

In my eyes she can do no wrong. From when I first saw her on Popworld I knew this girl would be a mover and shaker in the fashion stakes in my eyes she is and I hope there is more and more inspiration to come. I've hardly seen a picture where I've thought, "Oh no, what are you doing". I think she came into her own when she cut her hair and I loved it shorter and it's a shame it's growing out now. Looking back on these pictures you can see how much she's grown up. She will be my girl crush for a long time to come. I can just feel it. I'm just excited to see what comes next.

Ahhh they are so pretty!! Look much better on feet than on their own. I saw them once in real life, I was getting off a train and saw a girl wearing them. I couldn't believe my eyes. She must've known what I was staring at. I much prefer them in black I think. Black and studs, what more could a girl ask for.

All I can think about is boots, boots and more boots. I will find my perfect boots soon until then I will lust after nearly every pair I see. My most desired silhouette for a/w is long bare legs, ankle boots and socks. Currently I don't have any of those things. Can I brave bear legs that's the question? If it's good enough for Alexa it's good enough for me.
